I'm from New Zealand costs $50 for an average chance at getting a legendary seems abit over the top specially since since all they is is a digital picture. Ild never spend that much for that 😂 Ps love the game thoe

That much might be expensive for many people but nothing for some. Apparently this dev like many others perceives: ($ x many) < ($$$ x some).

Unless the system broke down, they wouldn't likely to change the winning strategy. Changing the pricing would also mean changing their strategy and target market from a specific one into a broader one, moving down to a lower segment in the pyramid, which might or might not work. Finding a somewhat middle ground would need many experiments with the market through trial and error, studying the spender's behavior.

I find the pricing of IAP in mobile gaming is a bit abstract similar to the service industry (food, beauty salon, massage parlor, etc). If the spender still feels that the price is still relatively acceptable to them, they would pay for it. It's only a matter of perception and affordability of the customer.

Well you're right but put it that way: for a student this simply is not affordable. For somebody who works it is but still not cheap. Surely some of us earn pretty well, some even might a rich. I am in the category of well earning people and but I would not spend a dime on something that does not bring me enough satisfaction to be some kind of rewarding luxury or brings me any kind of payback. So given you could sell this account for even just a little more than we put in (considering the time we spend reaching the point a lot of us got to like crowns and all event monsters etc).
But since you basically spend money here for nothing in return - no constant updates and excitement, nor any way to make money of whatever - the reason to spend for me is just not given at any point.
